Who we are

Sass & SEO operates Online Business Automator (“OBA,” “we,” “us”). The studio is at 5451 Avenida Encinas Suite B, Carlsbad, CA 92008. Questions about this policy go to hello@sassandseo.com or 760.334.7817.

This policy explains what we collect when you use this website, buy a membership, or talk with us, and what you can ask us to do with that information. Changes take effect when we post them here. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Information we collect

By using the site or giving us information, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing described here, including sharing with the processors we need to run the membership.

• Personal data you give us: name, email, phone, billing address, and anything you type into a form, an email, or a live session signup.
• Derivative data our host collects automatically: IP address, browser type, dates and times, and the pages you view.
• Financial data needed to take payment. Card numbers are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe’s policy is at stripe.com/privacy (opens in a new tab).
• Information that is public on a social network if you contact us from one, limited to what that network shares.
• Device details if you open the site on a phone, such as browser and device type. We do not run a separate mobile app that tracks your location.
• Anything you volunteer for a survey, a giveaway, or a community post.

You do not have to give us personal data. If you don’t, you may not be able to buy a membership or get onboarding.

How we use it

• Create and run your membership and your account.
• Deliver onboarding, templates, community access, and live sessions.
• Take payment, send receipts, and handle cancellations.
• Answer you, and send updates you asked for.
• Tell you about the membership, when you have not opted out.
• Keep the site secure, prevent fraud, and fix problems.
• Understand which pages are used, in aggregate.
• Meet a legal duty, or respond to a lawful request.

The grounds are: performing the membership you buy, our legitimate interest in running and improving the studio, your consent where we ask for it, and the law when it applies. You can withdraw consent, and that may close off the part of the service that needed it.

When we share it

We share information with processors who host the site, send email, take payment, or run the HighLevel platform your account sits on. They may use it only to provide that service. We also share it when the law requires it, to protect the studio or our members, or if the business is sold or reorganized. Customer records can transfer with the business.

We do not sell personal information. A California resident can email hello@sassandseo.com to opt out of any future sale, to ask what we hold, or to ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm your identity and, for a California request, your residency.

If you post in the community, other members can see your name and what you post. Links on this site may leave our domain. Those sites have their own policies. We do not honor automated “do not track” browser signals.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar files to keep you signed in where an account requires it, to remember preferences, and to understand how the site is used. Advertising or analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or Meta, only run if we turn them on. Those companies have their own policies. You can refuse non-essential cookies in your browser. The site may work less smoothly if you do.

Log files from our host can include IP address, browser, and the pages requested. An email we send may tell us if it was opened, so we can see whether a message was useful.

Where it is stored

The site and the membership platform are hosted in the United States. If you live elsewhere, your information is transferred to and stored in the United States, where privacy rules may differ from yours. Payment data is encrypted in transit to Stripe. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and you send information to us at your own risk. Keep your password to yourself.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data while your membership is active, while we need it for a record of the purchase, or while the law says we must. You can ask us to delete it. We will, unless a legal duty, a dispute, or security requires us to keep a copy. We cannot force Stripe, HighLevel, or another processor to delete data they hold under their own policy. Ask us and we will tell you which processors received your information.

Your choices

• Ask what we hold about you, and for a copy of it. The first copy is free.
• Correct it, or ask us to send it to another service in a common file format.
• Ask us to delete it, which can end the membership.
• Opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link or by emailing hello@sassandseo.com.
• If you are in the EU, you can complain to the authority where you live. If you live elsewhere, you may have rights under the privacy law of that place, including the California Consumer Privacy Act.

We may ask for proof of identity before we act, and we may charge a reasonable fee for repeat copies. We respond during ordinary studio hours.

Children and sensitive data

This site is not for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we have, email us and we will delete it. Please do not send social security numbers, health records, or similar sensitive data. If you do, you consent to our storing it only as this policy describes, and we would rather you didn’t.
